Reno Hearing Center is a growing hearing healthcare practice dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals through superior hearing care services. We are looking for a highly skilled and compassionate Hearing Instrument Specialist or Audiologist to join our team and contribute to our mission of transforming lives through better hearing. Position Overview:
As Hearing Instrument Specialist or Audiologist at Reno Hearing Center, you will be responsible for testing and managing hearing aid fittings and customer service for patients of all ages. You will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment and collaborate with a dedicated team to provide exceptional care and improve the quality of life for individuals experiencing hearing challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Comprehensive Hearing Assessments: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' hearing, balance, and related disorders through audiometric tests, including pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, and otoacoustic emissions.
Treatment Planning: Develop personalized hearing treatment plans, including the recommendation and fitting of hearing aids, cochlear implants, assistive listening devices, or other amplification options. Helping patients with the best fit for their lifestyle. We utilize many different manufacturers to fit the patient’s needs.
Tinnitus Management: Assess and develop strategies for tinnitus management, which may include sound therapy or counseling. (If qualified.)
Continuing Education: Stay updated on industry advancements and technologies, attending relevant conferences and workshops, and obtaining necessary certifications.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Audiology for Audiologists; state licensure is required.
- For Hearing Instrument Specialists, completion of an accredited program and state licensing are necessary.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients.
- Proficiency in audiological assessment equipment and hearing aid fitting software. (Or the ability to learn)
- Compassion and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
