Pacific Audiology Clinic is seeking a Medical Biller to join our billing department team.

Our exceptional, well-established Audiology Practice is seeking a full-time Medical Biller to join our team. Candidates need to be highly motivated, able to work independently, possess strong critical thinking as well as problem-solving skills. They must be willing to work in a fast-paced setting with a can-do attitude and be a team player. Reliable transportation mandatory as we rotate between our two Portland locations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Claims submission; both electronic claims submission and manual

• Contact insurance companies regarding denied claims

• Contact insurance companies and patients with questions related to billing

• Answer billing inquiries from patients, staff and insurance companies and resolve complaints

• Send appeals to insurance companies with appropriate documentation

• Accounts receivable aging review

• Manage assigned workflows to include follow up on status of claims, denials and appeals to ensure timely receipt of payment

• Eligibility & Benefit Check

• Other duties as assigned

Experience Requirements:

• Demonstrated knowledge of CPT and ICD10 codes

• Familiar with Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial insurance carrier rules

• Minimum of 1 year of Billing and Accounts Receivable experience

Skills Required:

• Ability to type 40+ words-per-minute

• Friendly disposition and excellent communication skills

• Must be capable of working independently and as part of the team

• Ability to follow directions and systems, and maintain close attention to detail

• Problem solving and critical thinking skills
